Agriculture Course

Our Agriculture students learn basic concepts and agricultural work skills in order to improve the production of local vegetables. Students will understand and apply the rules of hygiene and safety at work (HSW). We equip the student with a level of vocational training which they can enter employment or self-employment in the agriculture sector. Coffee, carrots, maize, beetroot, tomatoes, beans, lettuce are a few examples of what is being grown.
The cohort of 2025/26 has 16 agriculture students, 8 male and 8 female. The number of agriculture students increased in 2025 compared to the previous years and therefore, there was a need to expand our agriculture ground space. We purchased new land adjacent to Tariro's property so that expansion was possible. Students have worked very hard to clean the space so that it is usable to grow produce.

In 2025, we opened a hand-dug well and installed a water pump which has supplied all the water for our agriculture needs. Recently, students have installed drip irrigation units and sprinklers which will facilitate us in growing crops all year round.
